As Maison &amp; Objet marks its 30th anniversary, we also celebrate the 10-year journey of our Blackcork brand. A decade of design where creativity begets creativity.<br>Proudly manufactured in Portugal, using Portuguese expanded black cork, we are dedicated to delivering extraordinary and sustainable pieces that define the path for a creative and innovative future. We take pride in a decade committed to sustainability, innovatively using cork. Over the past ten years, we&#8217;ve infused our work with a passion for detail, authenticity, minimalism and beauty. We continue to shape the future of Portuguese design with our unique interpretation of expanded black cork, transforming it from a simple material into a timeless creative expression.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8221; 10 years have passed since the assumption of what needed to be done the most. Differently.<br>\u2026\u201dthat cork nobody wanted\u2026\u201d said Toni Grilo, ended up proving itself to be a hidden treasure a \u201cdream come to true\u201d. Now celebrating 10 years of existence and creating memories, and always thankful for it, we have perceived a whole new world of enormous innovation, creativity and even provocation. Sofalca, with its creative people, Toni Grilo, first with Blackcork, raised the need to improve the product to work as furniture, but most of all to believe in Expanded Cork, Le Brimet &nbsp;brought something that hadn\u2019t been thought of, never imagined by Gencork before, and transformed our mind, our vision, until &nbsp;10 years after, we reached the top and we reached artificial intelligence.
